Busman’s holiday
I’m often asked if I always take a camera on holiday. The answer is yes but not always one of my best cameras. I tend to take a small compact (Canon Ixus) for its size and ease of use. However a recent trip to Cyprus I decided to take a ‘decent’ camera as I had a few images in mind.
I had arranged to visit George and Savvas Georgeiades at Lemba Pottery. I was made very welcome and after a strong Cypriot coffee and a chat I was given total assess around the studio. Image of George working a large pot is shown. I can recommend a visit to meet George and to purchase some beautiful pottery at very reasonable price.
Another trip during the time there was to Petra tou Romiou also known as Aphrodite birthplace. Using a tripod and a Big Stopper filter I managed to get the image shown.
A great trip and wonderful weather.
